EMOTIONAL WELLNESS = PHYSICAL WELLNESS
Emotional wellness is critical to overall wellbeing and good health. Surprisingly, emotional patterns involving the five basic negative emotions: FEAR, ANGER, ANXIETY, WORRY, and GRIEF often go unnoticed and unchecked. When such negative emotional patterns are allowed to persist for a long period of time, they can ultimately manifest in the physical body, affecting organs and cell structure, causing disease in the body.
Negative emotions can manifest both outwardly and inwardly. For instance, anger is often expressed outwardly towards something or someone, or inwardly towards the self. Subconsciously these emotions affect all aspects of life like a pinball bouncing off whatever you come in contact with. When you are unaware of these negative emotional patterns, it may seem like you have control of your life but you have actually relinquished it. By feeding into any of the negative patterns in a sustained way for long periods of time, constant emotional distress can cause disease in the body, a weakened immune system, cellular dysfunction and poor quality of life.
Emotional wellness is determined by a deep level of consciousness. It is a practice to become aware of your emotions and to take control of them. By having a clear perception of what you want your life to be like, by having compassion for yourself and others, by discovering your inner radiance, by being honest with yourself, and by living your life with integrity, you can have true control without fear of compromising who you are at heart. Emotions are vibrations. When you align your vibrations, like a radio signal, you can set yourself on a new path towards excellent health and wellbeing and/or have the courage to create the life you dream of.
Past trauma trapped in the subconscious can manifest in many ways through your daily emotional patterns. By cutting cords to past emotional trauma and current emotional stressors, you can begin to pay attention to how your personal patterns adversely affect your life and others around you, You can begin to live consciously towards a better quality of life in body and mind.
Emotional patterns can be recognized, tested, and purged. Change starts with mental and physical balance using a simple but effective tool box that can be helpful at any time, especially when reactive. Simple prescriptive qigong exercises and short meditations can help to ground your energies. Energetic treatment can provide profound change by cutting emotional cords to past trauma. QIGONG
Qigong, pronounced (Chee-gong), is the practice of ancient, gentle movements that are designed to move Qi - or life force energy –throughout the body. Like water, energy can be flowing and clear allowing you to experience optimal health physically, emotionally and spiritually or it can stagnate and cause dis-ease in many areas in your life.
TAI CHI
Tai Chi is a very deep art with no finish line. At New York Tai Chi, we believe in teaching real Tai Chi in depth as soon as possible. In order to reap the many benefits of Tai Chi, you need to learn structural alignments; efficiency of movement; the various body states and energies of the art.
MEDICAL QIGONG
Medical qigong consists of working with a practitioner to regulate the client's qi. After the session, the client will be given qigong exercises to assist in their ongoing healing. Tailored specifically to the client, medical qigong exercises use physical movement, breathing methods and mental intention to correct and restore proper function in the body.
FENG SHUI
We base our whole philosophy of living body, mind and spirit on the 5 Elements. It is important that your home is optimized to live in harmony with these elements of nature as well.
